Julie


Julie Roberts was born February 1,1979 and is from South Carolina. She began performing in pre-school plays. While in school she was in choirs and while attending a summer camp she sang "My Fair Lady". In junior high and high school she toured with her family, playing festivals in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
 
 
She attended USC Lancaster before graduating from Belmont University in Nashville with a degree in business administration. She began working at Mercury Nashville Records where she later became Luke Lewis' assistant. While working there she recorded a demo tape.

In 2004 she released her debut single "Break Down Here" off of Mercury Records. In May 2004 she released her self-titled album.


In 2006 Julie released Men and Mascara. During the recording of Men and Mascara Julie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

In 2010 a flood hit Nashville. The flood left Julie and her mama without a home and a car. For more details click here.

She has also released two albums as an independent artist. Alive and Who Needs Mistletoe.



Fast foward to 2013. Julie appeared on NBC's "The Voice". She performed "God Gave Me You".
None of the judges including Blake Shelton turned around their chair. Elminating Julie from moving on to the next rounds of comptition.

Julie Roberts is now signed to Sun Records and is currently in the studio recording her first album with Sun which is due out October 29,2013.
